New diagnostic tool available! The Small Business Commissioner’s Office has made available this comprehensive diagnostic tool which is a question set to produce a comprehensive and tailored report in business areas such as start-up, health checks, retail and social media. Part-time hours help us work

Part time working hours were ‘very important’ to nearly half of Australians seeking work or employed part time, according to a report released today by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS).

“We asked people what incentives encouraged them to look for work, or work more hours in their existing part time job and the biggest consideration for both men and women was the continued availability of part time hours,” said Stephen Collett from the ABS. To read more follow this link

Signatures to be abolished

A significant reduction in payment fraud is expected next year with a decision by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) to grant authorisation to Visa and MasterCard to abolish the use of signatures for purchases over $100. From July 1, 2014 consumers will be better protected by needing to enter their PIN for credit and debit card transactions to be approved. For more information follow this link

Strong tourism growth affirms ‘there’s nothing like Australia’
