Creative Business- Top Ten Tips
What are the ten most necessary things that a creative practitioner needs to know when starting or running their own business? Top Ten Tips will tell you! This presentation identifies the ten most essential areas of focus for anyone starting out, or already running, a creative business. Goal setting, business planning, time management, money, marketing and more – in this action-packed presentation participants learn some practical tips to help with the reality of running a freelance arts business.
These Top Ten Tips are tailored specifically to creative people who are (or want to be) self-employed, and the tips relevant no matter what your profession – filmmakers, writers, designers, visual artists, performers – all can benefit from a quick introduction or refresher to the basics of business.
The workshop is relaxed and informal, you can ask all the questions you’ve never been able to ask before, and participants will also be given printed resources, access to a dropbox full of stuff, and ample opportunity to network and get to know each other.
Presented by Monica Davidson, the Doyenne of Creative Plus Business and an award-winning creative industries consultant and trainer with thirty years of personal experience in arts business.
